My grand-father, Edward Hall from Westhoughton started as a mobile greengrocer with a horse & cart in 1921. He was asked by his customers to move single items at weekends and this gradually increased until finally the removal business overtook his greengrocer business. My father, Norman Hall took over and developed the business, and at one time combining it with his taxi business. He carried on working with it until he retired in 2008.
I started working in the business as a child, packing boxes & helping with general removals before moving over to work for another removal firm. I now have over 40 years experience in removals and have recently started up my own business in the same way as my grand-father did.
I have found a niche market where no job is too small, but whatever the load, it is given the same attention to detail as a larger job. Even in the current difficult financial climate, I have found that work has increased considerably.
I put this down to the fact that we ensure that each job is realistically priced, in order to give value for money
